Cooking Class Palermo
Cooking Class Palermo | Palermo is without a doubt one of the most interesting artistic cities on the Mediterranean Sea. Chef Patrizia will meet you in the morning and take you on a shopping tour of the vibrant and colorful ‘Capo Market‘. Take in all the sights, sounds and amazing smells of the market while being introduced to many foods you have never seen before. You will help to select fresh seasonal ingredients in anticipation of creating an amazing meal.
On the way to the cooking studio you’ll enjoy a pleasant walk through Palermo experiencing the stunning, baroque beauty of its architecture. Arriving at the cooking studio housed inside the very historic Palazzo Asmundo, you are welcomed to the kitchen with a glass of Sicilian wine while you unpack your market purchases and discuss the delicious menu that lay ahead of you.
A lunch menu in a truly authentic Sicilian style will typically consist of : Primo (Pasta) – Secondo (Fish or Meat) – Side Dish (e.g. Caponata) – Dolce ( Dessert). During the preparation you will learn about and taste local wines and cheeses, olives and the extra virgin olive oil made in Nucidda, our country house location. The actual cooking class is paced leisurely over approximately 2 hours at which time we now get to have a seat at the table and enjoy all our hard work. Dessert will be enjoyed with a glass (or 2) of homemade limoncello!
At the very end of our class each participant will receive a certificate of accomplishment signed by the Chef. If you would like to take the reicipes home with you, our newly published cookbook entitled “Seriously Sicilian – Authentic Recipes for Hungry Families’’, is available for purchase so you do not need to take notes! Just chill out and drink wine!
